Job Description Summary
The Ultra Electronics' manufacturing function is responsible for
the manufacturer, integration and assembly of a wide range of
products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our
customers. We are a world leader in naval magnetic silencing
systems, militarized drives, power converters, battery monitoring
systems, transformers, and turn-key engineering services.Key
Responsibilities:
- Transformer mechanical assembly
- Heavy transformer coil winding (1 KW to 70 KW)
- Soldering (in-house certification will be required)
- Assemble and wire various magnetic components
- Winding experience (bobbin/layer winding)
- Reading winding sheets, part lists, and mechanical
drawings
- Mechanical assembly and reworking
- Working with different types of wire types and installation
systems
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed
or assignedRequired Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse
environment, or technical certificate
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person
who is eligible to obtain any required Export AuthorizationDesired
Skills:
- Experience with soldering, reworking and mechanical
systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Able to read and interpret specification, diagram and/or
blueprints.
- Able to perform simple math (addition and subtraction, ex. look
at dimension).
- Good team and people's (interpersonal) skills. "Can do"
attitude
- High motivation and drive.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques of electromechanical
products.
- Experience in using basic manufacturing equipment, tools and
gages such as: multimeters, torque and force gages, etc.Physical
Requirements:
- Lifting and transport of units up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Position requires extensive standing and/or sitting, and good
eye-hand coordination.
- Ability to use soldering iron
