Job Description Summary
The Ultra Electronics' manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacturer, integration and assembly of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers. We are a world leader in naval magnetic silencing systems, militarized drives, power converters, battery monitoring systems, transformers, and turn-key engineering services.Key Responsibilities:

• Transformer mechanical assembly
• Heavy transformer coil winding (1 KW to 70 KW)
• Soldering (in-house certification will be required)
• Assemble and wire various magnetic components
• Winding experience (bobbin/layer winding)
• Reading winding sheets, part lists, and mechanical drawings
• Mechanical assembly and reworking
• Working with different types of wire types and installation systems
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assignedRequired Skills:
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or technical certificate
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export AuthorizationDesired Skills:
    • Experience with soldering, reworking and mechanical systems.
    • Skilled in the use of hand tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and time management.
    • Able to read and interpret specification, diagram and/or blueprints.
    • Able to perform simple math (addition and subtraction, ex. look at dimension).
    • Good team and people's (interpersonal) skills. "Can do" attitude
    • High motivation and drive.
    • Verbal and written communication skills.
    • Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques of electromechanical products.
    • Experience in using basic manufacturing equipment, tools and gages such as: multimeters, torque and force gages, etc.Physical Requirements:
      • Lifting and transport of units up to 50 lbs. unassisted
      • Position requires extensive standing and/or sitting, and good eye-hand coordination.
      • Ability to use soldering iron
