The emphasis will be on developing, designing, evaluating, and/or modification of the solution that will be consistent with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. - They will be responsible for the design of the system architecture and ensure its integrity. Their contribution will ensure that the product at the sub-system and system level meets or exceeds performance targets, will meet high quality standards, and will maintain performance targets under manufacturing process variation at high volume. They must possess a solid analytical and practical knowledge of systems spanning electrical, software/OS design, mechanical, RF, audio, and wireless design components and -an -understanding of a hardware development process. Responsibilities:

• Establishes requirements for moderately complex system design projects. Prioritizes features to insure the most important get implemented -
• Successfully collaborate and communicate with other sub-system development teams -
• Work in the agile development process to release products in a timely fashion -
• Collaborate with the software team in software design and implementation - -
• Reviews changes or upgrades to existing software and/or firmware designs. Develops new technology to solve unique problems -
• Collaborating with Portfolio Management, Product Management and Customers in defining the Use Cases, the Device and Solution implementations; this may include occasional Customer site visits. -
• Working closely with the Product Management team and with the Solutions Architecture team to refine Use Cases using structured methodologies and capturing them in an engineering database tool. -
• Participates in code reviews and identifies bad sections early in the process and then recodes them -
• Completes all phases of moderately complex system design projects. Carries out all in-process and final inspection activities -
• Develops and tests documentation for the projects -
• Considers latest technologies and new approaches to designs and implementation of new designs -
• Provide recommendations and solutions to problems using experience in multiple technical areas -
• Applies existing technology in new ways to improve performance and productivity -
• May develop new tools to aid in the analysis and solving of problem -
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions -
• Receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments -
• May influence the activities of junior level personnel (exempt professional and non-exempt) -
• Networks with senior, internal and external, personnel in their own area of expertise. Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts - -
• Work in the agile development process to release products in a timely fashion -
• Collaborate with the software team in software design and implementation -Exercises independent judgment in methods, -techniques -and evaluation criteria for obtaining results Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree and 4+ year experience or Masters degree and 2+ year experience
  • Pre-Sales and customer facing experience -
  • Open to travel up to 25%
  • Have hardware development experience with or understanding of hand held/tablet hardware development.
  • Demonstrated proficiency agility in dealing with ambiguity and agility to stay focused and clear barriers preventing - -
  • Able to clearly communicate complex concepts to broadly diverse audiences and guide both local and remote teams in achieving their goals. -
  • Experienced in defining system requirements from complex customer use cases. -
  • Recent working knowledge of latest wireless technologies spanning: (i.e.) 4G/LTE/5G NR, GNSS/UWB, Wi-Fi/802.11(x), NFC, HF/UHF-RFID, Bluetooth/BLE, etc. -
  • Recent working experience in successfully developing products that exceed the latest Consumer quality level expectations, wireless Standards, Regulatory, and cellular Network Operator performance requirements -
  • Strong ability to present detailed information at the appropriate level. -
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills -Preferred Requirements:
    • Pre-Sales Experience
    • Successfully held a recent role as a System Engineering -role -working on a -product development effort that ultimately led to a successful Market launch/customer delivery -ideally in the Mobile computing space -
    • Expertise in one of the following fields: Mechancial/Software/Electrical engineering
    • Strong business and presentation skills
    • Experience trouble shooting technical issues and be a problem solve
    • Fluent in English verbal & written language; Chinese or Mandarin is a plus - -
    • Recent hands-on experience in the full lifecycle (cradle to grave) development of Consumer Smartphones and/or the associated application ecosystem is highly desirable -
    • Working knowledge of the -Agile development process -
    • Experience in software design and implementation -
