Performs system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency. Develops, validates, and tests: structures and user documentation. Work may be reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy. Follows established processes and directions.*Must be able to work in our Holtsville, NY location.* Responsibilities:

  • Establishes requirements for less complex design projects
  • Works on Completing all phases of Software engineering design projects
  • Works on analysis of processes and delivers results to necessary stakeholders
  • Analyzes results and recommends solutions
  • Works on developing expected results on a variety of products
  • Develops documentation for new projects and reviews previous results
  • Works with latest technologies and new approaches
  • Reviews changes or upgrades to existing designs or test
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions on assignments
  • Design and develop software for customized hardware products running Android. - The software will consist of device drivers, Linux kernel, and customization to the Android framework.
  • Responsibilities would include investigating, diagnosing and correcting product defects along with adding new features/value to products. - The position includes working with customers to better understand their solution and needs in order to provide high quality solutions to enable efficiencies for the customer. The position includes collaborating with engineers and customers world-wide. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
    • Programming experience in any language such as Java, C/C++, Python, etc
    • Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work as an individual and as a member of a team
    • Problem solving skills
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications
      • Previous internship experience
      • Android experience
      • Excellent attention to detail
