CLERICAL ASSISTANT OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with the Nursing Director, Nurse Manager and
Assistant Nursing Care Coordinator and care team members in
providing a variety of essential clerical functions within the
Department of Perioperative Services (OR, ASU, PACU and PST). Will
provide assistance to surgeons, anesthesiologists, consulting
physicians and others as necessary in order to expedite the peri-op
workflow and documentation in Epic/EMR.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Previous
experience in doctor's office or health care facility preferred.
Epic training and experience preferred.
General office equipment, photocopy equipment, computers and Fax
machine. Must be computer literate, proficient in Word, Excel and
proficient in Epic. Willingness to upgrade skills as technology
evolves. Medical terminology preferred. Ability to cope with
physical and emotional stress. Position is moderate requiring
sitting for long periods of time interspersed with movement
throughout the care center. Must be able to bend, stretch, reach
for, and handle paper and computer equipment. Ability to
communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, peers,
