Team Leader assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality therapeutic programming to support the program participants and their needs. They provide group and individual therapeutic services to individuals with mental illness. Team Leader assits program manager in all aspects of daily operation of the PROS facility. This person will have excellent interpersonal abilities and demonstrate a compassionate, professional and mature manner including verbal, written and listening skils.
Bachelor's degree in the field of Health and Human Services preferred or the foreign equivalent of such a degree, and or equivalent years of experience in a recovery oriented services or a CASAC certification.

Maintains a valid NYS driver's license within agency criteria
Skills , Knowledge or Abilities :

Able to handle simultaneous challenging situations in an often high stress environment.
Flexible, active, able to respond in crisis situations while addressing to the various needs of the individuals calmly.
Carries out emergency building procedures
Physical Requirements:

Functions within the office setting/program setting.
Travels to various locations (intra-agency and offsite)
Flexibility in schedule needed.
Drive agency vehicles safely, obeying NYS laws.
Works in collaboration with others by building team spirit.

Works to the highest quality standards & ensures the safety patients, self and others.

Evaluates own work for opportunities to improve.

Proactive and takes responsibility for actions, projects and people.

Functions as a member of the admissions committee and high risk committee assisting in the development of initial individual action plans and individual safety plans.
Provides recovery oriented activities in a group setting based on the individual action plans using evidence based curriculums as available.
Structures a learning environment that will facilitate goal attainment.
Completes all required regulatory and billing documentation within agency and regulatory guidelines.
Acts as liaison to outside agencies, ensuring continuity of services.
Responsible for coordination of individuals care through the recovery process, assisting them with the process of assessing the major life roles they desire to work towards.
Provides individual counseling including crisis counseling as reflected in the IAP and or requested by the individual.
Assists individuals in developing their Individual Action Plan defining goals that are recovery oriented.
Assist with program re-certification process, through quality assurance reviews.
Ensures written documentation is of professional quality and is forwarded to outside agencies in a timely manner.
Assures conformity to all policies and procedures that are organizational and site specific.
Drives agency vehicles as needed for community outings, etc
Responsible for ensuring timely reporting of work-related injuries, via incident/accident reports to the Human Resources Department within 24 hours.
Interrupts and reports suspected abuse to an administrator immediately and conforms to NYS Justice Center Social Service Law including the Code of Conduct.
Keeps Program Leadership appraised of significant issues.
Job requires access to the individuals' entire protected health information (PHI), in accordance with the Health Information Privacy and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
Employee conducts themselves in conformity with the HIPAA Compliance Program, applicable institutional policies and procedures for individual's privacy and the Electronic Information Security Policies and Procedures.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Attends regular on line training courses and or webinars focused on evidence based practices for recovery and employment services.
In the absence of an employment specialist, may be asked to run groups or assist with other employment specialist functions.
Able to willingly contribute talents and skills to achieve individual and departmental goals and objectives.
Able to promote positive relationships with coworkers which foster team building
Is honest and truthful in all his/her dealings with one another and with people or organizations that conduct business with CH.
Follow directives of program leadership in any emergency situation or in activity deemed necessary
Aware of possible occupational exposure to infectious diseases and conducts themselves consistently with all guidelines set forth.
