Job Description:
Summary: The role of a Customer Service Associate is to satisfy
the needs of our customers by completing deposit and withdrawal
transactions, responding to customer inquiries, issuing money
orders, cash advances and cashiers' checks. The Customer Service
Associate will assist in opening, closing, and provide service to
all banks deposit and consumer loan products to Dime Community Bank
customers in the branch market area.Responsibilities:Expediates
deposit and withdrawal transitions accuratelyReconciles cash drawer
by proving cash transactions, counting and packaging currency and
coinsProcess night deposits bagsProviding account services to all
Dime Community Bank customersPossesses current knowledge of
regulatory requirementsIs familiar with reporting under the Bank
Secrecy Act requirements related to Currency Transaction Report
(CTR), Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) and Dime Community Bank
internal Suspicious Activity Tracking ReportResponding to inbound
Dime Community Bank customer inquiriesAssist New Account and File
Maintenance reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data
for SOX 404 purposesMindful of bank product and services with
ability to identify the needs of our customersQualifications:High
School Diploma or equivalent required1 year of retail banking
experience is preferredCash-handling experience preferredHead
Teller experience preferredExcellent customer service skillsAbility
to be flexible and multitaskAdvanced PC, Network, E-Mail, Director,
Internet, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Transaction Research
experience preferred
