practice is a high volume practice built on the pillars of the

a role opening for an experienced PA-C to take over for a valued
team-member who is leaving the city. Columbia Orthopedics is

the top hospitals in the country. Columbia University Irving

standard of medical service. Role Description This is a full-time,
on-site role for a Physician Assistant in the Department of
Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in
the New York City. The Physician Assistant will work as part of an
experienced and high volume hip and knee arthroplasty team and be
responsible for providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive
healthcare services under the supervision of a physician. Daily
tasks include conducting patient exams, developing treatment plans,
performing medical procedures, assisting in OR procedures, and
educating patients and their families. The role also involves
coordinating with other healthcare providers to ensure
comprehensive patient care. Typical weeks are M-W-F in the office
and T-T in the OR. There is an opportunity for research and
attending meetings. Qualifications Personal commitment to the
highest standard of patient care Experience or a strong interest in
orthopedic surgery Proficiency in patient evaluation, diagnosis,
and creation of orthopaedic treatment plans Skilled in performing
medical procedures (injections) and interpreting diagnostic tests
Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, including conducting patient
exams and developing treatment plans Proficiency in performing
medical procedures and delivering therapeutic services Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family
education Ability to coordinate care with other healthcare
providers Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and
active New York State licensure Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from
an accredited Physician Assistant program
