The RN will monitor patients' cardiac rhythms, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams. -Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms; respond to abnormal findings appropriately
  • Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, and administer conscious sedation as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Accurately document patient observations, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
  • Educate patients and their families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge care
  • Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standardsRequired Skills and Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience, including:
      • 1 year in Medical/Surgical nursing
      • 1 year in Telemetry nursing
      • Proficient in:
        • IV insertion and phlebotomy
        • Administration of conscious sedation
        • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
        • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamLicensure and Certifications:
          • Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified) - Required
          • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS - Required
