Store Operations you are the leader of the in-store team and the
owner of all aspects of the in-store operation- including people
development and training, member and client experience,
procurement, and facilities, all in an effort to achieve
operational excellence and financial success. As the owner of the
store P&L's, you will work with the in-store team to drive
revenue and manage costs. You will closely oversee the front of
house (FOH) and Service Provider staff levels and schedules, manage
and optimize the books, analyze daily key metrics, execute on
current promotions, and closely manage labor and supplies costs.
Your main objective as the Director of Store Operations is to build
a profitable and sustainable in-store operation that is ready for
expansion. You will lead and develop a world-class team that
executes on our Operational Standards and provides a seamless,
consistent, and elevated experience The Glosslab Way. This role
reports directly to the Head of Operations and partners with the
Head of Client Experience for in-shop member and client experience,
and directly oversees the General Managers and teams. This role
requires a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business and
seasonal demands. Below outlines the key responsibilities for this
position. PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT & CULTURE
- Develop, coach, and prepare managers and teams for individual
growth and advancement to support our internal people pipeline for
expansion and foster our culture of empowerment.
- Lead the development of managers to deliver the ultimate client
experience and team member experience, as well as build on their
knowledge of our systems, store financials, and business
acumen.
- Develop and oversee new hire trainings and orientations,
existing team training, and own and improve on all manuals and
materials to best support people development and culture.
- Lead and oversee store staffing needs and partner with the
in-store leadership team to strategically recruit, onboard, and
train new team members.
- Create a professional atmosphere of respect and team work by
living the core values and leading with care. MEMBER + CLIENT
EXPERIENCE
- Lead and oversee the client experience in-store to ensure all
members and clients are receiving a consistent and elevated
experience The Glosslab Way.
- Partner with the Director of Client Experience to improve upon
the members and client experience- including member onboarding,
client journey, staff verbiage/attire, store operations, store
ambiance, and management of client opportunities and issues.
- Develop strong clienteling practices and data/CRM management;
including as relates to new members and clients, existing members
and clients, referrers/referees, and service upsells.
- Create a team wide business-building environment through strong
floor presence, team communication, goal setting, contests, and
local neighborhood outreach.
- In conjunction with Marketing, add valuable input on the
development of marketing programs, anchor programs, and promotions
in an effort to drive key metrics and other revenue generating
opportunities.
- Oversee, implement, and follow up on the execution of all
marketing programs. OPERATIONS + FACILITIES
- Oversee and ensure all stores are executing on and operating
The Glosslab Way, through mastery and execution of our Operational
Standards and Steps-of-Services.
- Oversee and ensure facilities are maintained at all times as
relates to sanitation, cleanliness, store ambiance, and
infrastructure.
- Oversee and strengthen budgeting, procurement and inventory
practices for backbar supplies, operational supplies, and retail
product.
- Conduct weekly Operational Standards checks and monthly
Operational Audits on all Stores. SCHEDULE + BOOK MANAGEMENT
- Oversee and improve upon existing schedule management practices
and systems in order to optimize the Service Providers schedule and
increase utilization metrics, including as impacted by seasonality
and staffing level changes.
- Oversee daily productivity management of appointment books,
including developing preemptive and responsive strategies to fill
capacity and increase staff productivity. Work closely with
managers to execute productivity strategies.
- Oversee and improve upon labor management practices, including
staff budgeting, time-keeping, schedule approvals and coverage.
P&L MANAGEMENT + REPORTING
- Own and achieve all Store P&L budgets by exceeding top line
revenue goals and remaining under budget for labor costs, supply
costs, and all other controllable operating expenses.
- Oversee and augment daily and weekly Store and Corporate
communication and reporting on Stores financial performance, team
development and trainings, and operational execution and
needs.
- Develop capabilities of Store Managers and FOH team to analyze
metrics and data and report on the in-store happenings that
contributed to the end results.REQUIREMENTSWe are looking for
passionate individuals who truly care about customer service and
about developing and leading their staff. We require at least 5-6
years retail/service experience, with at least 5 years of
management experience and management/oversight of 10+ units. You
wil have exceptional communication, organizational and leadership
skill.sCOMPENSATION + BENEFITSSalary range is $100-$120K. We also
