Job Description:
The College of Human Development, Culture, and Media of Seton
Hall University invites applications for part-time adjunct
instructors to teach in our on-campus MA in Museum Professions
program. The College seeks to engage individuals who value

University is located in South Orange, New Jersey, 14 miles from
New York City. It is the oldest Catholic diocesan institution of
higher education in the United States. It is home to approximately
6,300 undergraduate and 4,700 graduate students from all 50 states

lives. Duties and Responsibilities: • Teach up to two courses per
semester • Each class meets once a week for 2.5 hours • For

Qualifications: Expertise and ability to teach in one or more of
the following areas: archives management, audience research and
evaluation, exhibition development, history and theory of museums,
legal and ethical issues in museums, museum activism and social
issues, museums and communities, museum education, museum
fundraising and development, museum leadership and management,
museum registration/collections management, or museum technologies.
Licenses and Certificates: • Earned graduate degree in museum
studies, museum education, or related field • Minimum five years
professional experience working in, with, or for museums • A
minimum of two years teaching experience at the college level
(preferred) Salary Range: Minimum pay is $1200 per credit for those
without a terminal degree and $1300 per credit for those with a
