Join Barclays as a Regulatory Response AVP in the US COO
Regulatory Engagement team. You will oversee the management and
delivery of regulatory responses across the US COO, ensuring
consistency and efficiency. Your role involves setting up and
running COO-wide processes and activities to ensure compliance with
regulatory requests, exams, and enquiries, as well as coordinating
regular COO meetings with regulators. Evaluate existing processes
and controls and propose improvements to enhance the control
environment. This is an exciting opportunity to drive regulatory

successful as a Regulatory Response AVP, you should have experience
with: Proven ability to engage with and earn the trust of a wide
range of senior stakeholders Considerable focus on process and
project management, enabling effective delivery of concurrent
engagements A critical mindset with a good ‘check and challenge’ or
independent reviewer approach Operating both tactically—for quick
turnarounds—and strategically, as the function evolves
Understanding of regulatory frameworks and/or the products and
services offered by large, complex financial institutions such as
Barclays, ideally including US-regulated entities A minimum of a
bachelor’s degree Project/portfolio management, operations, or
strategy Financial services, preferably within Markets, Consumer
Finance, or key COO functions such as Operations or Technology Some
other highly valued skills may include: Mindset of accountability
for delivery Experience working on technology and/or operations
regulatory projects/deliveries Ops, Tech, or other COO area
experience desirable Ability to work at senior manager levels, with
considerable stakeholder management and influencing skills Record
of process improvement (identification and implementation)

based in Whippany, New Jersey. Minimum Salary: $130,000 Maximum
Salary: $160,000 The minimum and maximum salary/rate information
above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not
include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be

an incentive award. Purpose of the role To oversee that the bank
operates in adherence to established framework, policies, and
standards, laws, rules, regulations, and internal controls.
Accountabilities Analysis of processes, transactions, and
activities across various business units to assess adherence to
policies, regulations, and internal controls. Interviews,
documentation review, and data analysis to gather evidence of
compliance. Identification and reporting of deviations or
non-conformities, documenting findings and recommendations for
corrective action. Analysis of the effectiveness of existing
controls and recommend enhancements to strengthen the control
environment. Assistant Vice President Expectations To advise and
influence decision making, contribute to policy development and
take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate
closely with other functions/ business divisions. Lead a team
performing complex tasks, using well developed professional
knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole

could include sensitive information or information that is
difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
