Job Description:

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Controller in Hauppauge, New York (NY).

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  
• Lead the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
  
• Build relationships with the managers in each area of the company
  
• Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company
  
• Evaluate and oversee as necessary ERP upgrades and conversions
  
• Recruit and train new staff members as necessary
  
  
  Reporting:
  
  • Issue timely, complete, and accurate financial statements
    
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
    
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
    
  • Assist with the management and production of the annual budget and forecasts
    
  • Calculate variances from the budget, analyze them and report significant issues to management
    
  • Provide financial analyses as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
    
  • Assist with special projects as needed
    
  • Oversee all treasury and bank activities
    
    
    Compliance:
    
    • Coordinate the annual audit with external auditors
      
    • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
      
    • Comply with local, state, federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
